Female Undergraduate Research Assistantship Programme

As a strategic way to reduce the gender gap that still exists in the Chemistry discipline, the Green Chemistry Project started an Undergraduate Research Assistantship Programme (URAP), with support from the International Science Prograame. The URAP specifically motivates undergraduate students to carry out research under the mentorship of our research group members for utmost 12 months. A limited number of students are recruited during their final year and priority is given to female students. The students assist with on-going laboratory work as they gain valuable research experience and analytical skills. The students are encouraged to make their own creative contributions to ongoing research and at the end of the training, they are encouraged to enroll for graduate study. Emmanuel Tebandeke is the Leader of this Project.
